Every year a group of anonymous volunteers spend about every other Saturday morning from spring to fall getting up early and barbecuing chickens that local organizations then pair with sides and sell to raise funds for various activities happening in and around our community. If you are interested in volunteering to help cook, stop over to the pit on a Saturday morning of one of the scheduled bbqs

by 8am or as early as 6:30 am. Wear your old clothes. They’ll be greasy and smell very tasty afterwards.

I was going through some old pictures and found the Sleezy truck that we entered in the Blossburg State Coal Festival parade and car show one year. We do have many talents. A little hard to read, but it says "A Community Service Conspiracy" - not whatever you're thinking.

The Sleezy Construction and BBQ Co. Crew and their families took a well deserved break from cooking chickens today and had a Sleezy Party. Since we're all Anonymous, faces have been blurred and location information has been obscured. Due to copyright concerns, all shirt logos have been changed to say Sleezy.

⚠️ 🛑 CRITICAL PIT RULE: NO PIT SALES! 🛑 We know this is a hard one to follow for the Coal Festival sale but - No, you cannot buy a chicken straight from the pit! ❌ Do not try to bribe the pitmasters with anything other than more beer. 🤫 You gotta be patient and wait until they are fully ready and served at the stand. Trust us, it’s worth the wait!
