Hyzon News! We are thrilled to announce we have received an order for two Fuel Cell Electric Trucks (FCETs) from the South San Francisco Scavenger Co. & Blue Line Transfer Inc.! This order comes after successful trials and marks our second fuel cell refuse vehicle order.

Hyzon's state-of-the-art hydrogen fuel cell technology not only delivers zero-emission performance but also offers the power and reliability needed for demanding applications like refuse collection. Our FCETs are set to revolutionize waste management, achieving up to 300 percent increased fuel efficiency over traditional diesel trucks!

For heavy hauling, hydrogen trucks are the answer. Find out why Fuel Cell Electric trucks (FCETs) beat the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) competition in these applications:

🏋️ Lower weight – Hyzon FCETs can be up to 5,000 lbs lighter than other FCET's and BEVs. That means up to 5,000 lbs more payload to generate revenue.

💡 Hyzon offers the lightest Zero Emission Class 8 Truck (FCET or BEV) commercially available today in the U.S. with a range of at least 250 miles.

🛣️ Longer range – Hyzon FCETs can drive longer routes than BEVs

💡 Hyzon FCEVs’ range is 25-50 percent greater than a typical BEV.

💡 “Hyzon’s refuse collection FCEV can be refueled with hydrogen produced in multiple ways, providing more flexibility in fueling infrastructure. For instance, a fleet may start by wet hose fueling right behind their fence. This can be done because of the 350 bar fuel pressure, different than other brands - including using localized, modular production technologies that create hydrogen from landfill waste.

✅Hyzon is proud to announce the successful trial of North America’s first fuel-cell powered refuse collection truck -- developed in partnership with New Way Trucks -- with Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery

The trial was conducted in California and showcased the vehicle's performance, demonstrating a range of at least 125 miles with more than 1,300 cart lifts.

“We are proud to partner with Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery in pioneering the use of hydrogen fuel cell technology for heavy-duty waste management,” said Hyzon CEO Meeks. “This successful trial showcases the potential for hydrogen to drive meaningful decarbonization, without sacrificing performance, in challenging sectors like waste and recycling.
