GT Mechanical is a small but growing company out of bowdoin serving the Midcoast Maine area, and we’re looking for an experienced, dependable, and honest person to take a lead installer role on our team.

We’re seeking someone who is well rounded in boilers, hydronics, furnaces and heat pumps who takes pride in quality work. Experience with central air, and ductwork is brownie points.

This position will focus on installations, with occasional service calls and equipment repairs when needed. (Install/service tech is a bonus, but installation tech is priority)

We have a wonderful crew that works well together, supports one another, and enjoys their time here. We’re looking for someone who shares those values and wants to grow with us. We enjoy company trips together, training, and even have social events for employees to bring their family’s to. We really try to make this experience personable for everyone involved, but we do work hard!

Interested? Message GT Mechanical to introduce yourself and tell us about your experience!

Service call today. System being airbound. The old air scoop had enough, it was breaking apart in pieces trying to replace the top vent. Being able to salvage some main components in this main intersection of a hydronic system, we were able to break out the torch and upgrade them to a new school, service friendly air separator in this tight space, at a reasonable cost. Now they’re ready for the cold week ahead of us. Customer stated it looked like “art” and should be posted 😁 stay warm everyone!

We do know more than just boilers! How about this central air heat pump system. Fully ducted heat pump air handler, with electric backup strip heater for those really cold days 🥶 ZERO fossil fuel in this home.

Facebook asking me “what’s on my mind” well, it’s high efficiency heating systems 😛 before and after.

Tight mechanical room, but hello to another high efficiency system 😁

Beautiful new construction, all radiant, underground 1000 gallon propane tank, and this incredible home is now heating under its own power!

01/21/2026

Emergency boiler swap to get this customer ready for the cold weekend, weather the schedule is full, we make it work!

09/29/2025

Another oil to high efficiency propane system replacement! There was not any heat on the second floor so we added a zone of baseboard up there as well. Great conversions with great fuel rebates!
