At Synergy Engineering and Design, our mission has always been to be Better Together. Successful mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering depends on collaboration, expertise, and coordination across every building system. We are proud to bring those values to every project.

We wish our colleagues, clients, friends, and families a safe and Happy Independence Day!

In observance of the holiday, our office will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026. We look forward to serving you when we reopen after the holiday weekend.

Did you know we have an office in North Adams, Massachusetts?

Our lead mechanical designer has the flexibility to work remotely or from our North Adams office as we continue to grow our presence in Massachusetts.

As the summer heat settles in, we believe flexibility benefits not only our employees but their families too.

This week's honorary Office Manager is Winnie, who's been hard at work supervising productivity, greeting potential visitors, and making sure everyone takes the occasional break.

On Thursday, the Synergy team attended the ASHRAE Connecticut Chapter Past Presidents Meeting, featuring an honorary presentation by the impactful Bill Dunn.

We had an incredible time at our first outing as a company and as a sponsor. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect with industry professionals, hear valuable insights, and be part of such a great event.

We look forward to attending more meetings in the future.

As our first full year comes to a close, we want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported us along the way.

2025 has been a year to be proud of—and one that has given our team a well-deserved opportunity to reset. Synergy Engineering and Design will be closed for the holiday season beginning December 24, 2025, and will reopen on January 5, 2026, refreshed and ready for the year ahead.

Wishing everyone a safe and wonderful holiday season. 2026 is shaping up to be our best year yet—stay tuned!

A few weeks ago, the Synergy Team celebrated our one-year anniversary with those who have supported us throughout our first year in business. From our families to the consultants we’ve partnered with, it was a wonderful evening at Sofia’s Restaurant and Pizzeria in East Windsor, CT.

While we missed several of our consultants and clients who couldn’t attend, we took time to reflect on our accomplishments—both as a company and as individuals. We discussed lessons learned, shared our goals for the coming year, and celebrated how far we’ve come together.

The past year has been an incredible journey, and we’re truly grateful for the team, clients, and partners who make it all possible. With most of our growth happening in Connecticut, our goal for year two is to expand our work further into Massachusetts.

One year ago, Bob Sherman founded Synergy Engineering and Design.

Since then, the Synergy Team could not be more proud of what we’ve accomplished!

We want to thank everyone who supported us along the way — our employees, consultants, friends, and especially our clients. Without their support, none of this would have been possible.

We are excited to continue providing building design services across Connecticut and Massachusetts, specializing in MEP Engineering with added support from our preferred consultant in Architectural, Structural, and Fire Protection design for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Together, we can support any needs a client might have.

Year one has been full of opportunities and growth. We can’t wait to see what year two brings!

The team at Synergy Engineering and Design wish everyone a Happy Fourth of July. On a day we celebrate our freedoms and independence we send our wishes for a safe and joyful holiday. We will back in the office Monday!

At the beginning of the week, our Lead Mechanical Designer, Samantha Michalenko, attended the 2025 AHR Expo in Orlando, Florida. Sam was able to explore the industry, gain more knowledge in HVAC&R, the equipment and solutions available, and expand her network around the world. Sam came home excited to share the knowledge gained and believes it will be carried throughout the rest of her career.

We can’t thank F.W. Webb Company and Warren Bean for hosting Sam and providing her with an incredible experience.

The Synergy Team would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season.

When Synergy was started in August, we weren’t sure what was to come over the next few months, but knew work life balance was key to company and employee success.

Synergy Engineering and Design will be closed until January 2, 2025 to give our team much needed rest and time with their friends and families.

We leave 2024 grateful for our growth and experiences, and look forward to what 2025 has in store.
