I botched the canister billet. After drawing it out, I cut it into sections. I put the pieces in another canister separated by powdered steel. It welded up, but left seams where the powder was. Several lessons learned though; my press CAN weld canisters. I need to go bigger on the canisters, say 1.5” square and 5-6 inches long. Don’t use powder as filler between sections. The piece isn’t a complete loss as it can be used as bolster material.
