Less than 48 hours after my grandma passed, my grandpa went home to be with her.

I’m still in shock. I went to see him the day after Grandma died (Friday) to tell him. With his hearing and memory, I wasn’t sure he understood, but Christa reminded me, “His brain may not know, but his heart does.” She was right.

I didn’t know that would be the last time I’d see him, but I’m grateful I got to hear “I love you babe” one more time.

He’s one of the reasons I became a builder. He taught me how to shave, how to work hard, and how to live.

You always hear about couples going close together… but it’s incredibly hard to lose them both so quickly.

Get to know your builder.

Hey, I’m Justin. 👋 I’m 37, I’ve been married to my beautiful wife for 15 years, and we’ve got two amazing kids, an English Mastiff, and shared custody of a French Bulldog.

When we’re not cheering our kids on in all their endeavors, you’ll find us in the woods or on the water—hunting, fishing, camping, or wake surfing.

I make friends everywhere I go—don’t be surprised if we meet once and end up planning a fishing trip the next week.

I’m a big Razorback fan—you’ll find me yelling at the TV on game day. If the Hogs aren’t playing I’ll be watching Forrest Gump or Con Air on replay. I enjoy a little craps and betting on football, and I’ve usually got music playing 24/7.

Most days I’m in a Jackson Custom Homes shirt… unless my wife picks something else out for me. And yes, I’ll try to wear my oldest dirtiest boots, and work jeans to places like Easter service, but she always makes me change (I pout for about 5 minutes and then laugh about it the rest of the day).

I can fix just about anything, and my wife definitely knows it. I proudly fund her shopping sprees and get just as excited as she does when the Amazon boxes show up each day (not!).

And you can bet I’ll be winning her trips at the Mending the Line event every year.

I’m left-handed, easygoing, and always up for a conversation— let’s build something great together.
