10,183 DRONES FORMED A GIANT DRAGON OVER TEXAS AND BROKE A WORLD RECORD! 🐉

Imagine looking up at the night sky and seeing a massive, glowing blue dragon stretching across the darkness.

Not on a movie screen. Not created with CGI.

Actually flying over Texas.

On September 28, 2026, something extraordinary happened in Blue Ridge, a small North Texas town northeast of Dallas.

Sky Elements Drone Shows and Damoda America sent 10,183 synchronized drones into the sky, creating an enormous dragon that officially broke a Guinness World Record.

And here's what makes it even more incredible.

The previous record for a drone display of a mythical creature was 2,247 drones.

Texas didn't just beat it. They used more than four times as many.

But the dragon was only part of the story.

Over several nights, the teams completed a series of enormous drone performances, recording 71,207 drone launches and breaking a second Guinness World Record.

That's 71,207 launches, not 71,207 drones flying at the same time.

And this wasn't happening over downtown Dallas or inside some giant stadium.

It happened over a farm in Blue Ridge, Texas.

Just imagine standing outside in a quiet little Texas town and watching a fire-breathing dragon appear across the sky.

We've come a long way from ordinary fireworks!

**Have you ever seen a drone show in person, and do you think displays like this could eventually replace traditional fireworks?**

Compliance Over Convenience: Why It Matters for Your Drone Projects

In the drone industry, the pressure to “just get the data” is real. Tight deadlines and competitive pressures can tempt operators to take shortcuts — like running a quick oblique flight over a busy construction site or parking lot.

This approach often violates 14 CFR §107.39 (Operations over Human Beings) and Subpart D requirements. It’s not safe to assume that every assigned flight plan is automatically compliant. The Pilot in Command (PIC) is solely responsible for ensuring every operation meets Part 107 — not the network.

Quick reference on 107.39: No person may operate a small unmanned aircraft over a human being unless that person is:

• Directly participating in the operation, or
• Protected by a covered structure or stationary vehicle, or
• The operation meets a specific category under Subpart D (with compliant aircraft and documentation).

There’s no gray area for incidental or transitory flight over people, even in moving vehicles. Without the proper aircraft category, waiver, or Document of Compliance, it’s simply not allowed.

At SkyBit Drone Services, safety, compliance and quality are our top priorities. We ensure every single mission is flown safely and legally, leaving no room for interpretation. If there is any question, we will pause until we can figure out how to achieve success in compliance. Our operations:

• Maintain full Part 107 compliance on every flight by performing thorough flight planning, pre-flight checks and maintenance
• Secure proper waivers when needed (instead of “risking it”)
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and documented procedures
• Prioritize safety buffers, airspace rules, and data defensibility

Our clients — construction firms, property managers, insurance adjusters and inspectors across Central Texas — need to be able to rely on us for accurate, legally defensible aerial data they can actually use for bids, records, and decisions. One compliance issue can void insurance, delay projects, or create liability risks that no one can afford.

If you value partners who put safety and regulatory integrity first (not just speed), we’d love to earn your business.
