Happy Flag Day, and 250th birthday of the United States Army!

This flag represents not only every person in our country, but the physical land that we call home! The rights bestowed upon us are not just personal, but also geographical! The founding fathers wanted this land as a refuge for ANYONE from tyranny and persecution. Too many people get caught up in their own selfish wants or ideals and bastardize that original intention based on their own minds.

Any iteration of this flag's colors or design is divisive, disrespectful, and inappropriate. No one should be altering it in any way, per flag code. Its colors and design already have meaning!! Any other group symbols or flags should be independent and distinct from this over-arching symbol, not altered to filter its meaning.

This flag protects ALL groups, minority, majority, different, or the same, under its umbrella. To think, or argue, otherwise is selfish and ignorant, and opposed to everything our country is supposed to represent.

Protest peacefully, protect vehemently, honor respectfully. Don't give in to bullies or violence.

Today is not about any one person. We honor our flag that protects us all, and the Army, that for 250 years, has been expected to, and done so, protect the flag and all the corners and people of this land it covers.

As a member of the board, and family of the founders, we greatly appreciate anything you can do to help!
Cancer research is plentiful...actual support to the fighters and survivors is minimal. More Than Strong steps in where the people need it now!

The Construction Exchange of Buffalo & WNY, Inc. is having a Casino Night at their new Plan Room space. It will be fun! Food, drinks, games, and prizes. Only a couple hours long, so plenty of time to get into bed for Friday morning! Network with Construction Industry members and their friends/families. Check out the new space. Thursday, March 13th.

I just completed a NYS grant provided program through SUNY Oswego, Syracuse Campus, called Instructor Boot Camp, that takes professionals in various trade and vocational fields and gives us a crash course in education practices for the next generations in those fields. We learned lesson planning and accessibility topics, as well as others that will allow us to take our knowledge and skills and pass them down to others who are interested in them as careers. It was a great boot camp in being a teacher. Many times knowing things and teaching them are not necessarily hand in hand skills. Along with the boot camp, they offered construction oriented attendees to get certified in the MC3 training, train the trainer, which takes our new teaching skills and puts them into use with certified union/tradespeople courses and curricula for the future of construction workers. It was a great experience, I was paid to learn, and I met some excellent people across the state. Also, thanks NYS and SUNY Oswego for coordinating these classes. These will allow me to teach through various state schools or learning facilities not just across the state, but more importantly, locally here in Erie County. These grants will be excellent in helping grow the industries.

Happy Juneteenth!

American freedom wasn't for everyone in 1776. It wasn't until 1865 when the slaves finally learned they had been freed by Emancipation Proclamation in 1863 and no longer could be legally forced into slavery.
It was then, America would begin growing as the free nation it was intended to be, for everyone.

Great Construction Exchange of Buffalo & WNY, Inc. Membership Luncheon today. It was a wonderful event for us in the Rise Up 2024 program to experience and listen to the Board Chairman host questions to local political leaders.

Another sold out class starting Tuesday. There never seems to be a shortage of people who sign up to learn to read blueprints! If you or someone need this class, keep an eye out for the next rounds. We usually do fall and spring!
