This is a nice slab of porphyritic basalt, the white and green areas are distinct crystals known as phenocrysts. They formed during a two-stage volcanic cooling process, and their mineral composition explains their distinct colors. The white area is a Plagioclase Feldspar. And the Greenish-Yellow Areas are a Epidote / Altered Feldspar.
