We are curious to hear from homeowners, builders, contractors, and remodelers:
If you had to choose between LP SmartSide and James Hardie siding, which would you pick and why?
For those who have installed or lived with either product:
🔹 How has it held up over time?
🔹 How does it perform during hail storms and extreme weather?
🔹 Any maintenance issues?
🔹 Was cost a factor in your decision?
🔹 If you've worked with both, which do you prefer and why?
LP SmartSide is often praised for being lighter, easier to install, and more impact-resistant but not non-combustible.
While James Hardie is known for its fiber cement construction and non-combustible properties but breaks and cracks easily
I'd love to hear real-world experiences the good, the bad, and everything in between. If you were building a home today, which one would you choose and why?
