We’re moving, but we’re not going far!

The design team has moved to our newly renovated Burton location, so our time in Downtown Flint has come to a close.

We’re grateful for so many years of support from the community, and we will miss so many aspects of being downtown.

You may have seen our post about Edge Crush Testing (ECT), but did you know there’s another important way to test a box’s strength?

📦 ECT measures how well a corrugated box resists crushing from the edge, helping evaluate its ability to withstand stacking pressure.

💥 Mullen Burst Testing measures the force needed to puncture or burst the box, making it useful for evaluating how packaging may hold up against rough handling, impacts and other real-world hazards.

So, which test is right for your packaging? It depends on how your boxes need to perform throughout the supply chain and what they contain.

We had the opportunity to support pep promotions by sponsoring and providing all signage on the course and in the clubhouse at the 16th pep Charity Golf Outing at Ivy Hills Country Club in Cincinnati, OH. Not every box should have the same closure. The right choice depends on the size, weight, application and level of protection your packaging needs.

At Landaal Packaging, we offer three common box closure options:
📦 Glued
Our most common closure. Flaps are folded and secured with hot melt glue for a clean, strong, permanent seal.

📦 Stitched
Built for heavy-duty applications, stitched closures are a go-to for industrial and automotive parts where durability and protection come first.

📦 Taped
When a box is too large for a gluer, taping provides a reliable closure that gets the job done.
