We are thrilled to be participating in the Grand Valley State University Football Golf Outing! This annual event raises vital funds to support the GVSU football program, but this year, it means a little bit more to us.

Congratulations to our amazing Sobie Company team members!

We are proud to announce that Taylor Garcia, Grant Clarkson, and Ervin Lopez have successfully completed the Drywall 2 course through the West Michigan Construction Institute (WMCI). This marks the completion of the rigorous 2-year drywall program, officially recognized and certified by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER).

Their dedication and hard work have earned them the prestigious Drywall 2 Certification from NCCER.

At Sobie Company, safety has always been more than a policy, it’s part of who we are. In honor of Safety Week, we’re proud to announce our transition to Type 2 hardhats across the company after more than a year and a half of hands-on testing and evaluation. Our team physically tried on and reviewed nearly every Type 2 hardhat available on the market to ensure we selected the best option for comfort, protection, and performance in the field.

A huge part of this process was driven by our Safety Committee, made up of employees from multiple departments and roles throughout the company. Their involvement ensures that safety decisions are shaped by real experience from the people doing the work every day. The committee plays a critical role in evaluating risks, identifying improvements, and helping determine the safety changes implemented throughout Sobie Company.

“Safety isn’t something we leave to chance, it’s something we choose every single day,” said our Safety Director. “The move to Type 2 hardhats reflects our commitment to continuously improving protection for our employees and making investments that matter.”

At Sobie Company, our motto says it best: Sobie Safe – Safety by choice not by chance.

We are proud to announce the completion of an impressive project at GE Aerospace, where we successfully delivered over $200,000 worth of work onsite. Our team worked diligently on a wide range of tasks, including insulating, framing both the interior and exterior with metal studs, hanging and finishing drywall, exterior sheathing, as well as installing acoustical ceilings.

It’s been an incredible experience collaborating with GE Aerospace, and we’re thrilled to have played a part in their vision. A huge thank you to our dedicated team for their hard work and commitment to excellence!
