If your home has a whole-house water filter, replacing it every 3 months is just as important as changing your HVAC air filter.

The photos below show a filter that was only 6 months old. It did exactly what it was supposed to do, trapping dirt, sediment, and iron. But it became completely packed with mud and iron deposits. As a result, it significantly reduced the home’s water pressure.

First photo is a new filter cartridge, second is the one we removed.

Started the morning with an emergency sewer backup. Customer hadn’t pumped their septic in 9 years and didn’t even know where the tank was located. We came out, used our camera system to locate the septic, excavated the inlet and outlet, and had Shell k**b Pumping there all before 1 PM — just in time for them to get back to enjoying the lake and their weekend.

We’ll be back soon to install risers and make future maintenance much easier. Another problem solved! 💪🪏
