Whimsical garden walk planned in Noelridge Park
The Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation department and the friends of Noelridge will hold a whimsical garden walk, “Shoe-Bee-Dew!” from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 8 located at 4900 Council St. NE
All-America Selections plants will be creatively displayed in shoes, along with bee motifs and advice. Several pairs of shoes from local celebrities will also be featured. Volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions about the new, award-winning varieties of plants. The event is free.
Visitors will also see the Herb Garden, Hosta Garden and Monarch Tent, and learn which plants attract the most native pollinators. Children are invited to bring a pair of shoes to plant and leave with the “caterpillar” at the Children’s Garden. The display will be through late September.

What you are seeing is the injection molding processing used to make the BioMarkers plant markers. Our proprietary BioComposite resin is heated to a molten mass and injected under high pressure into the cavities of the mold halves and fills to form the plant markers.
