Most homeowners get multiple quotes before hiring a contractor. But the real value isn't just comparing prices. It's understanding what your home actually needs.

In our latest blog, we talk about why getting 3 to 4 quotes on your next electrification project can help you make a more informed decision, avoid costly surprises, and gain a better understanding of your options.

At My Electric Home, every quote is built around your home's unique goals, electrical system, and future plans. We don't believe in cookie cutter proposals or recommending upgrades you don't need. We take the time to listen, evaluate your home, and create a solution that makes sense for you.

Many homeowners also find our installation and labor costs are about 30% more affordable than other electrification specialists, making it easier to move forward with projects that improve comfort, efficiency, and energy independence.

In the summer, solar just makes more sense ☀️

Your home is using more energy, your appliances are working harder, and those long sunny days are an opportunity to power your home more efficiently while helping lower energy costs over time.

At My Electric Home, we offer free, no-pressure 30-minute home visits so we can get to know you, understand your energy goals, and build a quote that actually fits your home and lifestyle. No pushy sales pitch. No strings attached. Just real conversations about what makes sense for your space.

Solar is one of the most valuable upgrades you can make to your home, especially when paired with battery backup systems that help keep your home resilient during grid outages or gas shut offs.

A lot of homeowners hear “battery backup system” and immediately picture something complicated or expensive. The FranklinWH aPower S is actually built to make home energy storage feel practical, reliable, affordable, and easy to live with every day.

It stores power for your home, so you have backup power for your lights, appliances, internet, and even larger systems like AC units. It also works alongside solar to help you use more of the energy your home already produces instead of sending it back out to the grid.

One of the reasons we like installing the Franklin system at My Electric Home is that it gives homeowners a lot of flexibility without the huge price tag that often comes with backup power systems. It’s expandable, quiet, built for long-term performance, and backed by a 15 year warranty that’s one of the strongest in the industry.

We’ve also found it to be a more cost-effective option compared to many other power storage units on the market, especially when paired with our installation pricing. Our installation costs typically run about 30% more affordable than many competing electrical installation companies, which helps make energy independence a lot more realistic for homeowners.

If you’ve been curious about battery backup systems, solar storage, or building a more efficient home setup, My Electric Home would love to come take a look at your space and help you figure out what actually makes sense for your home.

It’s not just a prop. This mini home is fully powered and fully functional, complete with a working stove, heater, lighting, and everyday appliances running on electricity.

We brought the mini home to the Earth Day event at Washington Park, where families, homeowners, and community members stepped inside to see how an all electric home actually works in real life. Gas bills creeping up lately? That’s not just in your head. Energy costs are rising, and gas is part of that climb.

One of the simplest places to start cutting back is your commute. Installing a home EV charger means your car powers up overnight in your garage instead of at the pump. It fits into your routine, uses energy more efficiently, and sets the foundation for a fully electrified home over time.

At My Electric Home, we’re installing EV chargers across Denver and the Front Range that are built for reliability, smart energy use, and real daily convenience.
