Hey everyone! I’m Matthew Richter, Founder of Kiloco.

If you’re new here, I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and tell you a little about who we are.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and at 17 I joined the Minnesota National Guard, eventually deploying to Djibouti, Africa. The military taught me discipline, accountability, and the importance of serving others, values that became the foundation of Kiloco.

What started as a vision has grown into a licensed Minnesota general contracting company built around one simple mission:

Helping homeowners, businesses, investors, and property managers improve the value of their properties while making the construction process as straightforward as possible.

🇺🇸 This is what happens when a church, a contractor, and a community come together for someone who needs it most.

This weekend in Fridley, MN, I had the opportunity to join Pastor Chad, Pastor Parice and an incredible group of volunteers from Substance Church to help prepare a disabled veteran’s home for paint.

This wasn’t a Kiloco project—it was Substance Church living out its mission and serving someone in our community. I was simply grateful they invited me to be part of it.

Seeing so many people give up their Saturday to help someone they’d never met was a reminder that there are still a lot of good people out there.

At Kiloco, we believe construction is about more than buildings—it’s about people. If we have the opportunity to use our skills to make someone’s life a little better, we’ll be there.

Thank you to Substance Church, Pastor Chad, and Pastor Parice and every volunteer who showed up this weekend. We’re honored to have played a small role.
