Soft floor became missing joists, water infiltration, Carpenter ants and a visit from the bug man Kenny Inhoof

I have a bit to do outside but mostly inside to finish. All new joists, rim board, subfloor, and that's a special order door with side lights. Customer didn't want to have to wait on one so I winged it 😉

Finished up the installation of another U.S. Boiler Company Burnham Alta 200 combi unit. I was excited to try out their latest tool for install and service techs, the USB connect. What a stellar tool. This is also my first install using mainly Propress for gas and copper. It definitely speeds up install time.

Finished this up today at the General Potter Farm

The original was pine and had enough of the traffic. New ones are reclaimed oak I cut to fit. Had to do some interesting fitting but happy with how they came out.

Haven't updated much lately. It's been mostly service work so nothing interesting to show. This however was a bit of a change from usual. We don't do much paint work but I took on refinishing this kitchen along with some other work. This involved removing the built in China cabinet which completely changed how the size of the rooms feel. Removed the counter tops and then sanded all the cabinets, doors etc. Added corner trim to add some depth. Painted, reassembled and installed a range hood instead of the old exhaust fan. New counters were installed through YBC. The customer plans to repaint the rest of the room.

We're currently looking for a few motivated individuals to join our team. M-F 8-4:30 with some overtime. Pay based on experience. 1 week of vacation after a year, 2 weeks after 5. Company provided shirts, hats, coats etc after 90 days. Looking for someone well versed in all aspects of construction/maintenance/remodeling but will work with the right person. Must be able to pass a drug test and have a clean criminal record as some places we work require it(schools etc).
