At Fox Milling, we’re putting our equipment to the test as we ramp up production—and these massive Southern Yellow Pine logs are no joke.

Watch as we push our Wood-Mizer LT50 Wide Portable Sawmill to its limits, handling some of the biggest logs we’ve cut yet. Bigger logs mean heavier loads, wider cuts, and a real test of precision and power.

And the payoff? We ended up with some absolutely gorgeous 3" thick Southern Yellow Pine slabs—perfect for tables, furniture builds, and custom projects.

We’re focused on producing high-quality, locally sourced pallet stock with efficiency and consistency—but every now and then, projects like this remind us how versatile these logs really are.

Born Again Heartwoods pulled this ancient heart pine from Charleston riverbeds—where it’s been preserved likely since early logging days—and brought it to Fox Milling to bring it back to life.

Watch as we run it through the Wood-Mizer and reveal some of the tightest grain you’ll ever see. This is wood you simply can’t find anymore.

From river bottom to finished lumber…this is history being cut in real time.
