On Juneteenth we must reflect on the systems that keep Black Americans down, one of the main ones being the carceral system. The Lumena Energy Academy focuses some of our work on training returning citizens to work in the solar industry and our sister company HelioHub then employs these individuals in stable, well-paying jobs. We hope that you will help us celebrate Juneteenth this year by challenging the systems in our country that actively disadvantage minority Americans.
