Last month was insanely intense. In the middle of one of the most difficult and emotionally trying closings I’ve ever gone through, I had to prep for a business pitch competition. I honestly had ZERO energy to prep as ALL my attention and energy was on selling my flip. I finally closed on a Tuesday 🙏🏽 and only had Wednesday to practice my pitch, now that my mind was free. Thursdays’ competition came and not only did I placed, but I walked away with cash to invest in my company. I share this story to say, always fall back on what you KNOW and what you’ve been through. Although my pitch was not exactly where I wanted it to be, I was enough. My experience was enough. My STORY was enough. Always remember that YOU are enough. The week is finally here! As you may know, my company D. Jones Construction, LLC, made it to the final round in this years’ South Side Pitch business competition. South Side Pitch is a Shark Tank style competition, with grand prizes to assist in our business endeavors. This years’ competition will be live streamed this Thursday the 21st from 6pm -8pm. Check out this project that my company completed last month. This project was for a client who has a mixed use 3 unit building with commercial at the bottom. It looks like a simple project but the complexity is what you can’t see behind the walls. This building had major structural damage and required beams & columns installed and reinforcement of the floor joists. The rest is just the simple pretty stuff you see. We remained on schedule and completed the project in 1 month. 💪🏽 @ Chicago, Illinois
