When surgery isn't an option, answers still matter.

A new peer-reviewed study, co-authored with Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, found that Summit 2.0™ influenced clinical decision-making in 86% of surveyed cases involving brain and spinal cord tumors, and 96% of clinicians said they'd order the test again.

For patients facing some of the most difficult diagnoses in oncology, that kind of real-world impact is the reason this work matters.

NCCN has updated its CNS Cancer Guidelines to support CSF-based genomic profiling for patients with biopsy-infeasible high-grade gliomas and glioblastoma.

This is the second consecutive year NCCN has expanded its CSF-based testing recommendations. For patients whose tumors cannot be safely biopsied, molecular profiling via CSF is now a guideline-supported option.

Belay's purpose-built portfolio was built for exactly this clinical need. Summit 2.0, Ascent, and Vantage are each peer-reviewed, validated for exceptional performance in CSF, and can be performed on a single CSF specimen.

Every physician treating brain cancer today was once a resident sitting in a room like this one.

Last month, Belay hosted an educational dinner with the neuro-oncology team at Duke's Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center. Afterward, Dr. Katy Peters told us a resident had stopped her on rounds the next morning, excited about what she'd learned about CSF liquid biopsy for patients with CNS cancer.

"They are the future, and they will be the ones to find the cure for brain cancer." — Dr. Katy Peters, Duke Cancer Institute Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center.

We build diagnostics. But moments like this remind us the bigger work is equipping the clinicians who will carry this field forward.

Thank you to our own Alex De los Reyes and Stephanie Wilson for making the evening happen, and to Dr. Katherine Peters and the Duke team for welcoming us.

Glioblastoma can be difficult to diagnose, and difficult to keep up with. Some tumors sit in places where a biopsy isn't possible at all, and as the disease progresses, it can change in ways that matter for treatment.

In both moments, doctors need answers, and getting them has traditionally meant biopsy. Belay's testing looks at what's happening now using a small sample of CSF, no tissue biopsy required, whether that's helping confirm a diagnosis when surgery isn't an option, or understanding how the disease has changed and where new treatment options might open up.

On Glioblastoma Awareness Day, we're thinking about everyone living with this diagnosis, and everyone loving and caring for someone who is. Staying a step ahead of this disease starts with never stopping the search for answers.

Thank you for sharing this information, End Brain Cancer Initiative - the Chris Elliott Fund. We are proud to partner with you.

For so many, brain surgery or biopsy is not an option and therefore, getting the molecular and genomic make up of their tumor was not possible.

But now, with Belay's liquid biopsy tests using cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), patients can have a standard lumbar puncture to learn about the genomic and molecular make up of their tumor. Doctors use this information to help diagnose, choose the best treatments, and monitor the treatment response and progression. No tissue required.

Thanks for helping spread the word!

Belay Diagnostics Summit is a CSF liquid biopsy that gives doctors molecular information about your tumor from a standard spinal tap. That information can help confirm a diagnosis, choose treatments, and track whether treatment is working without a brain biopsy.

A new peer-reviewed study from UT Southwestern Medical Center, published in Cancers, evaluated Summit in 120 patients with CNS cancer. Summit helped guide clinical decisions in 93 percent of cases. Read more here: https://monkeylink.co/ede596

May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month.

We close this month with the most personal story we have.

Sue Sullivan is a former member of the Belay team and a breast cancer survivor.
When neurological symptoms sent her to the emergency room, she brought a Belay kit with her.

Not for a patient. For herself.

To every family carrying this right now, we close Gray May the same way we work every day.

With you in mind.

May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month.

Every result at Belay passes through human hands.

Alex Larson is a Clinical Genomics Analyst — one of the scientists whose work touches every report before it reaches you.

Her answer isn't about protocols or pipelines.

It's about people.

To every family carrying this right now —
the person analyzing your result is thinking about their own family too.

May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month.

Last week we shared Dr. Honey Reddi's why.

This week is for the families.

Jerry Conway is our Sr. VP of Market Access. He's also someone who knows personally what a brain cancer diagnosis does to a family.

When we asked what he'd say to someone waiting on results right now, he didn't talk about the science.

He said this: "I'm sorry you're going through this. We're here with you while you wait and when the results are reported."

If you're waiting on results today — we're with you.

May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month.

This month we're doing something simple — asking the people of Belay why they show up every day. Not what they do. Why they do it.

Dr. Honey Reddi is our Chief Laboratory Officer and a breast cancer survivor. Her answer is one sentence. It says everything.

We'll be sharing more voices from our team throughout May. Follow along.

This National Nurses Week, we want to thank all of the nurses who make our work possible.

Behind every CSF sample that arrives at our lab is a nurse who explained the procedure to a nervous patient, sat with a family through hard news, or made sure every detail of a specimen collection was right. You're often the calm in the room when nothing else feels calm.

Patients remember you. Families remember you. We do, too.

Thank you for the expertise, the compassion, and the steadiness you bring to patient care every day.
