4 Paws for Ability at UC 4 Paws for Ability is a non-profit organization that relies on volunteers. Here at UC, we help by socializing and do basic training for their service dogs.

4 Paws for Ability is a non-profit organization that was started in 1998 by Karen Shirk. She was denied a service dog by organizations. This is when 4 Paws for Ability was started. Their goal is to Enrich the lives of children with disabilities by the training and placement of quality, task trained service dogs to provide increased independence for the children and assistance to their families. He

re at UC, students have the opportunity to stand behind this organization and lend a helping hand by socializing and training service dogs for a semester.

Chestnut has been officially promoted to a fabulous flunky! Our trainers have decided he will be very happy as a regular dog! So proud of Chloe Walker and Ella ♡ for helping Chestnut in his journey. While he is no longer a service dog in training, we are proud of our boy!! 🐾
