In Loving Memory of John N. Booras

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John N Booras, a founding member and the namesake of JBS Construction. Since our very first day in 1997, John was at the core of everything we built — with his hands, his heart, and his unwavering dedication.

He was known not only for his tireless work ethic and craftsmanship, but also for his warmth, humor, and the way he could brighten any room — or job site — just by being there. Whether he was framing walls or telling a story over coffee & donuts, he gave his all. He believed in doing things the right way, taking pride in every detail, and living each day with joy and generosity. He worked hard, and he lived fully — always ready with a joke or a helping hand.

Please join us at Egizi Funeral Home on Saturday, July 12th at 1:30 pm, to share fond memories and pay your respects to a man who gave so much to his family, his work, and everyone lucky enough to know him.

We remodel and build restaurants so you would help with day to day operations. Hours on site are from 7-3 but we do travel up to 2 hours away.

The perfect candidate has experience with driving a truck and trailer, and operating & maintaining a zero-turn lawnmower, weedwhacker, and other small equipment. Must be 18 years or older. This position is ideal for someone in school or just graduated! Flexible schedule.

JBS Construction & Maintenance, Inc. is located in Clayton New Jersey. Since 1997 we have been building and remodeling restaurants, Dr’s offices and hotels in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and New York. Today, we are lucky to have an abundance of work and are looking to add talented people to our team. Our current workload is primarily new builds and remodeling of Taco Bell and Wendy’s restaurants.

Due to the unique nature of our work, there is a learning curve for most people regardless of experience. However, we do offer a competitive hourly rate based on experience level. General Requirements:

Job specific requirements:

Laborer:
• 1-year minimum general construction experience
• Basic tools ie, gloves, hammer, flat bar
• Willing to learn and adaptable

Skilled labor:
• 3 years minimum experience general construction
• General tools ie, tool belt basic hand tools, drill/driver set
• Must know how to read a tape measure

Mechanic (carpenter)
• 5 years minimum construction experience (Some-framing, trim, metal stud, FRP, general construction knowledge)
• Tools: tool belt and accompanying hand tools, circular saw, grinder, drill/driver set, drill bits, screw tips
• Must be able to exhibit knowledge and skill that is acquired with the given experience

Skills that you could learn:
• metal trim ie SS corners
• Light Equipment operation/loading
• Welding
• Minor Tile repair
• Minor Drywall repair
• Framing (metal and wood)
• Time sensitive scheduling
• Onsite adaptions to practical issues
• Hauling trailers
