BIO on the Bay had an impressive debut yesterday at spARK in St. Petersburg. The Life Science Women’s Network helped sponsor this premiere event. Kudos to its organizers, Case Lorance Founder & CEO NEXI Biotech, Inc., Jon Tavarez Masterminds Tampa Bay and Louis Carfaro Nucleate Florida for their vision, courage, and the time they invested to bring this concept to life. The casual format worked well, and the speakers delivered valuable insights.
I was impressed with how far many attendees traveled to attend. It was clear evidence that Tampa’s resources are valuable to innovators and funders across the state.
If you agree that BIO on the Bay has strong potential and is a real asset to the biotech community, please consider posting a congratulatory note on social media to encourage the team to keep building this effort.
My only suggestion: I’d love to see more women represented on the panels. That said, Karen Zaderej absolutely knocked it out of the park!
