Our MHU-141 Munitions Trailer is a proven workhorse for the Air Force. The trailer is versatile and can carry air-to-air and air-to-ground munitions.

Raytheon Missiles Systems has been awarded a $13.1 million contract to provide to technical services and analysis supporting the advanced medium-range air-to-air missile (AMRAAM) weapon system.

The deal, announced Monday by the Department of Defense, covers advanced medium-range air-to-air missile (AMRAAM) technical support.

Work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2020.

According to the Raytheon, the AMRAAM air-to-air missile is the world’s most sophisticated air dominance weapon. With more than 25 years of design, upgrades, testing and production, the AIM-120 missile continues to meet all warfighter requirements. Its capabilities have been fully demonstrated in more than 4,200 test shots and 10 air-to-air combat victories.

The AMRAAM missile is a versatile and proven weapon with operational flexibility in a wide variety of scenarios, including air-to-air and surface-launch engagements. In the surface launch role, it is the baseline weapon on the NASAMS™ launcher.

The weapon’s advanced active guidance section provides aircrew with a high degree of combat flexibility and lethality. Its mature seeker design allows it to quickly find targets in the most combat challenging environments.

Procured by 37 countries including the U.S., the combat-proven AMRAAM missile has been integrated onto the F-15, F-16, F/A-18, F-22, Typhoon, Gripen, Tornado and Harrier.

The AIM-120C5 and AIM-120C7 missiles are fully integrated onto the F-35 and support the U.S. Marine Corp’s F-35B initial operational capability as the only air-to-air missile qualified on the F-35.

Tech. Sgt. Matt Gerrits, 307th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron armament systems specialist, lines up a 500 pound Joint Direct Attack Munitions onto a wing mounted bomb rack at Barksdale Air Force Base, La. Since 1999 the JDAM has achieved a 95 percent accuracy within 9.6 meters of the intended target. It also has a range of up to 15 miles and compatible with multiple Air Force and Navy aircraft. Tech. Sgt. Matt Gerrits, 307th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron armament systems specialist, loads a 500 pound Joint Direct Attack Munitions under the wing of a B-52 Stratofortress at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Feb. 1, 2017. The JDAM is a guidance tail kit that converts existing unguided free-fall bombs into accurate, adverse weather "smart" munitions. This enables employment of accurate air-to-surface weapons against high priority fixed and relocatable targets from fighter and bomber aircraft. Gerrits was loading the weapons in conjunction other loaded on the Conventional Rotary Launcher, a new weapons system capable of carrying several different types of munitions at one time. The CRL was being prepped to undergo its first live-fire training mission. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Ted Daigle/released)
