We talk a lot about heat pumps, but how exactly do they work?

Heat pumps run on electricity. They move heat from one space to another, rather than creating it through combustion. This is similar to how a window AC unit works, but heat pumps can provide both heating and cooling.

Heat pumps have indoor and outdoor units. Refrigeration runs between these units, bringing heat and cooling between them. In the summer, the cool refrigerant goes into the house and absorbs heat from the house, which effectively cools the home 🌬️ 🧊 ❄️
