Maryland Sustainability Enineering is an organization dedicated to sustainable development locally and abroad. In the past, MDSE has completed on-campus bioretention projects intended to combat pollution in the Anacostia watershed. MDSE just completed a project to install a 1.5kW Solar array on the roof of a school in Sierra Leone. Butscher Primary School is located in Calaba Town, which is locate

d just outside of Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone. This project was sponsored by the Madieu Williams Foundation and the Clark School of Engineering. The team is now looking to see if there are other opportunities for partnership with the Calaba Town community.
