Teacher Appreciation Week gives us a chance to recognize the people who bring energy, leadership, and care into classrooms across our community. Educators are the building blocks of future generations, helping shape stronger communities one student at a time.

Our team has been honored to work alongside outstanding educational partners including Atlas Schools, Monument Academy, Widefield School District 3, School District 49, Colorado Springs School District 11, Fremont Re-2 School District, Fountain Valley School, Harrison School District 2, Pueblo Community College, and Pikes Peak State College.

These projects are about more than buildings. They are about creating environments that support educators, inspire students, and strengthen the communities we all share. We believe the work teachers do every day reflects something we value deeply: great teams truly do build great projects, and great communities.

Flooring is complete at our ABC Bank Tenant Improvement project at 1286 Interquest Pkwy, Suite 140, and the team is moving into final paint and electrical finishes.

Custom millwork, including a uniquely designed teller reception desk, is starting to shape the space as we work toward owner turnover at the end of March.

On projects like this, staying ahead of long-lead items is key. Congrats to Rachel Ryan, Ryan Hoeye, and all the trade partners keeping progress steady and coordinated.

Recently we had the opportunity to host Security Water District, one of our project partners, on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo project. While we are partnered with them on a separate project, we wanted to give them a closer look at how our teams bring complex work to life, from early decision-making to ex*****on in the field.

Tours like this are about transparency and access. Walking the site together allowed them to engage directly with our project team, ask questions in real time, and see how collaboration, planning, and craftsmanship come together on a live, active site.

From the moment guests arrive, experience matters. One area we spent time discussing was the entry sequence, including the concrete mix design that creates a seamless, welcoming arrival while meeting ADA requirements and long-term performance goals.

Above the habitat, the ETFE roof system, sourced from Germany, reflects a broader commitment to learning from global best practices. Zoo leadership and the project team studied some of the most progressive zoo environments in the world to inform a design centered on animal wellbeing, flexibility, and durability.

The giraffe habitat itself is being built as a dynamic environment, with systems that encourage natural movement, comfort, and choice. It is a project shaped by curiosity, trust, and a shared commitment to doing things the right way.

Grateful for the chance to open the doors, share the process, and give our partners a real look at how our teams think and work together.

iiCON Construction and Gunslinger Brewing are teaming up for a holiday community food drive to help local families in need.

📍 Gunslinger Brewing, 318 E. Colorado Ave.
🗓 Wednesday, Nov. 12
⏰ 3:00–6:00 p.m.

How to participate:
Bring 5 pounds of food or a $5 donation, and you will receive a token for a $5 pint as a thank you, a $2.50 discount.

Your impact goes far. Every $1 donated provides 3 pounds of food through Care and Share Food Bank. Our goal is 150 pounds of food and $500 in donations to support local families, seniors, and veterans.
