The University of Missouri-Columbia had an outstanding week at the Mechanical Contractors Association of America National Convention in San Diego. For the last two months, our chapter has been preparing for the MCAA National Student Chapter Final Four Competition. At the convention, our chapter presented our proposal and took first place! Additionally, our chapter won the Student Chapter of the Year Award! We are very grateful to the Mechanical Contractors Association of America, MCERF, and our local sponsoring association, MCA of Eastern Missouri.

Mizzou MCAA competes every fall semester in the annual MCAA National Competition. This year we were to submit a proposal for a design-assist wastewater treatment plant upgrades project. We had two months to coordinate, estimate and submit a final proposal. This week we found out that our chapter made it into the final four. We will be presenting our proposal, in San Diego, onstage at the 2017 National Convention, competing for a first prize place of $10,000!
