Only 1 day until Makerfest 2026. By this time tomorrow, the fairgrounds will be full of music, movement, laughter, creativity, and the kind of energy that only happens when a whole community shows up for something special. Kids will be running toward the next activity. Vendors will be sharing the things they’ve poured their time into. Makers will be demonstrating their craft. Families will be making memories without even realizing it in the moment. That’s what tomorrow becomes. If you’ve been waiting to decide, this is the time to stop waiting. Most of the featured MakerFest activities are protected from the weather, so even if the forecast tries to make you second guess your plans, there will still be plenty to enjoy. Come for the music, the races, the demos, the food, the kids area, the Motor Show, the makers, and all the little moments in between that turn into stories. Kids 12 and under get in free, which makes it even easier to bring the family and make a day of it. Tomorrow, people will either be at MakerFest making memories or wishing they were. Make sure you’re there. MakerFest is July 18–19 at the Old Putnam County Fairgrounds.

Only 2 days until MakerFest. In just two days, the old Putnam County Fairgrounds will be the site of a weekend people will remember long after it’s over. There will be music on the stage, makers sharing what they’ve built, kids finding one new favorite thing after another, and families making memories. One of the best parts is that most of the featured MakerFest activities are protected from the weather, so even if the forecast looks questionable, there will still be plenty to see, do, explore, and enjoy. That means you can still come for the demos, the races, the music, the kids area, the vendors, the food, and all the little moments. If you’ve been meaning to come, this is the moment to stop meaning to and actually make the plan. Kids 12 and under get in free, which makes it even easier to bring the whole family. Next weekend, MakerFest begins. And if you’ve been thinking about whether or not you should show up, stop treating it like just another weekend. Starting next Saturday, the Old Putnam County Fairgrounds turns into a full-on celebration of creativity, community, music, food, racing, hands-on demos, family fun, and the kind of energy you just don’t get from sitting at home scrolling past everyone else’s good time.

This is the weekend where you’ll hear live music in the background while you shop local makers, watch blacksmithing sparks fly, cheer on Hot Wheels and Power Wheels races, laugh at inflatable costume chaos, wander through the Motor Show, grab festival food, turn the kids loose in the kids area, and somehow realize hours have gone by.

MakerFest is the kind of event people talk about afterward. The kind of weekend your friends post about. The kind of thing that makes people really bummed out if they miss it. Don’t be the one watching it happen from your couch while everyone else is making memories. Clear the calendar. Rally your people. Make the plans now. MakerFest starts next Saturday, July 18.
