🚧 Construction Safety Week 2026: Reinforcing a Culture of Safety at TAKKION

At TAKKION, safety is more than a requirement...it is a core value that drives every project, every task, and every decision we make in the field.

As part of Construction Safety Week 2026, our teams came together in West Des Moines, Iowa, for a company-wide safety event focused on awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement.

This year’s event centered around a simple but powerful concept:
🛑 Stop work when conditions change.
🔍 Reassess risks before incidents occur.
🤝 Speak up when something does not feel safe.

Through open discussions, safety interviews, team collaboration, and leadership engagement, we reinforced the mindset that every employee has both the authority and responsibility to prioritize safety.

Throughout the day, teams reflected on critical questions designed to strengthen our approach to workplace safety:
• What tasks on this week’s schedule could seriously injure or harm someone if conditions change?
• Have proper controls truly been put in place, or have hazards simply been identified and overlooked?
• Are we prepared to stop work immediately when risks increase?

In addition to safety-focused discussions and Q&A sessions, the event also recognized team members for their commitment to safety excellence through:
🏆 Safety awards
🎟️ Raffles & giveaways
👏 Team recognition activities

As Construction Safety Week continues, TAKKION remains committed to fostering a culture where every employee returns home safely at the end of each day.

By investing in conversations around:
✔️ Hazard recognition
✔️ Stop-work authority
✔️ Personal accountability
—we continue building a stronger and safer future for our teams, our customers, and the renewable energy industry.

Because at the end of the day, safety is personal.

Leadership growth happens when people are willing to learn, reflect, and challenge themselves together.

TAKKION recently hosted our Elevate Leadership program — bringing together leaders from across the entire TAKKION organization representing a wide variety of teams, backgrounds, and roles. The program created opportunities for meaningful conversations around self-awareness, coaching, leadership styles, safety, and personal growth.

From exploring Color Energies and the Eight Types to understanding leadership manifestations and effective coaching techniques, participants engaged in sessions designed to strengthen collaboration, communication, and leadership effectiveness across the organization.

A few highlights included:
✨ Engaging workshops and coaching discussions
✨ A welcome dinner at Lazy Dog with insights shared by members of the executive team
✨ Team-building and collaboration at Activate Westminster
✨ Honest reflection and action planning focused on becoming stronger leaders for our teams and customers

A huge thank you to everyone who facilitated, participated, and helped make the experience impactful. Leadership development is an ongoing journey, and it’s exciting to see TAKKION continue investing in people, collaboration, and culture.

When a powerful EF4 tornado tore through Enid, Oklahoma, it left behind devastating damage. Homes were destroyed, lives were disrupted, and a community now faces a road to recovery. 💔

By some miracle, no lives were lost, but the impact to families and neighborhoods is still deeply felt.

Enid isn’t just a place we support. It’s home to our TAKKION team. Our colleagues, friends, and neighbors were directly affected.

In the days that followed, TAKKION employees from across the organization came together to support one another and stand alongside the Enid community.

From organizing donations and coordinating volunteers to clearing debris and lending a hand wherever it was needed, our team showed up because this isn’t just a community we serve. It’s their community too.

“It was an emotional moment when we got to the site and were assigned to recover personal belongings for families who lost everything. Seeing pictures, keepsakes, kids’ toys, and clothes all destroyed made it hard not to shed a tear. My heart felt heavy, but I’m very grateful we could offer support. Everyone at the volunteer camps and out in the field were working together as one.”
— Juan Hernandez, TAKKION

“Close friends lost their homes, and their belongings are scattered for miles. It was powerful to see so many people reaching out to help each other through this. With over 40 homes destroyed, not one life was lost.”
— Mark Thrower, TAKKION

We’re incredibly proud of the strength and resilience shown by our Enid team. This is what it means to be TAKKION. Stronger together.

We’d like to especially thank:
