New video with resin casting tips as well as good commentary on release selection and resin techniques for casting into an old mold. Big thanks again to the good people at BJB Enterprises who tolerated me for a week and put up with my antics on and off camera! Hope you all enjoy this!

New video! This tutorial covers a topic that some of you have asked me about over the years: 3D printed molds. This video covers the design and release steps for casting flexible foam into a 3D printed mold made with ABS. Flexible foam is very adhesive so a good release strategy is key to making this process work with a 3D printed mold. Thanks again to Troy and BJB Enterprises for sitting down with me to make this video! Link in comments below!

New tutorial! In this video I use SC-22 to soften F105 Polyurethane. F105 cures to a 5A like human skin. By adding SC-22, it can be softened well into the very soft OO range. At a ratio of 1A + 1B + 2 SC-22 I got a OO20 softness. Video link in comments.

I had a question the other day from someone wanting to spray silicone into a mold for a skin application. In this tutorial I address just that. In this video I spray TC-5110F silicone, thinned with OSS solvent, into a resin mold before back-filling that mold with softened TC-5100 silicone. This results in a very realistic skin for medical simulator applications as well as SPFX applications. The slightly firmer TC-5110F on the surface gives the finished part a realistic, tack-free, feel and also allows the heavily softened TC-5100 to be painted with additional layers of silicone. Video link below in comments.
