Where are refineries and brokers going to get gold when the supply dries up? We are already seeing supply shortages at the refineries. At what point will buyers start paying a premium over spot in order to actually secure supply? Soon it will be time to start an auction process for mine production, as the current pricing mechanism won't be able to hold once the demand crosses the tipping point.

“Invest in Gold”- Isn’t that an oxymoron?

Gold is a great place to go. Just sayin....

Something strange is going on in the financial system. And according to the WSJ, it's causing some investors - including the biggest banks in the world - to move massive amounts of money out of the banking system.

OK, gold hasn't broken 1300, but it is testing it. We've seen the price bob up and down around $1250 for a few years now. If it gets a little lower, the Chinese and Indian buyers pile into the market to "buy the dip", when it gets a little higher there is concentrated pressure from shorts on Comex to weight it down. I think the events of the past couple weeks are putting to rest the question of gold's place in the order of things when things fall apart. How are you sitting when it all finally "hits the fan?"

Evaluating a new prospect in New Zealand. Heavy in garnets, which are replacing sand in sand blasting (due to silicosis), the garnets could pay for the cost of mining. Mining permit is in place and time to first production is minimal. Really an excellent find if it pans out.
