I had this old trim nail hammer that my grandpa have me when I was 7. The end of the handle was plastic and broke off. I had this piece of closet rod laying around so I decided to make a handle for the old hammer. Just spent a little on 2 part epoxy. Don't throw it away, fix it!

Here is the latest kitchen remodel. Every surface was modified (counters, floors, lighting, plumbing). I added 5 can lights to replace the on center mount light, added under cabinet lighting, quartz counters, new sink, all new appliances, added euro style soft close hinges to cabinet doors, painted cabinets, walls, ceiling and trim in kitchen, breakfast area and den.

Latest project - customer had a closed in screen porch that was rotted. Instead of rebuilding the screen porch, customer opted for open patio. Customer did a lot of the tear out, my framer installed a cricket to fix the water problem and fixed rotted framing while I was out of town, and I finished installing the cedar posts and cedar trim. Another happy customer!

Recently completed custom dresser and adjustable shelving for master closet. I built the dresser to fit in space of existing hanger space; adjustable shelving replaced a short hanging area. Inset drawers are partially open because they are already getting filled!

Here is the before and after pictures of an office buildout for a new employee screening company in McKinney, TX. My part was to move the sink out of the bathroom (requirement for sample testing), install a partition wall behind reception, install sink, cabinets and counter top in new location, paint walls and assemble office furniture. Here is a project that can happen while you are at work. Started about 8:30, rolling up tools about 1pm. Used stainless steel fasteners to secure the cedar to the house and to secure the lattice to the perimeter frame. Lower horizontal board has drain holes drilled through it to allow water to drain away when it rains or when sprinklers hit it. Customer will do the staining.

Here are before and after photos of a recent living room remodel. I removed most of the brick of the fireplace, the brick hearth and then built the custom fireplace surround and mantel. That's shiplap above the mantel.

I cut down the depth of the lower cabinets from the living room and repurposed them to the dining room where upper and lower cabinets will serve as a built in China hutch. Also in the dining room, I removed the chair rail and picture frame moldings, textured the walls and painted.

The table in the dining room is receiving new fluted detail legs to match fluted trim of the cabinets and the entire table will be refinished. I still have to build a matching bench and modify chairs (that will be another post).
