The Journal of Long-Term Effects of Medical Implants publishes original research, critical analyses, and reviews addressing the long-term in vivo performance of medical implants across every anatomic site and clinical discipline. The journal welcomes contributions spanning biomechanical assessment of retrieved implants, computer modeling of in vivo performance, healthcare technology assessment, and the clinical and preclinical study of implant safety and efficacy. Interdisciplinary work involving materials science, biomedical engineering, surgery, and device design is particularly encouraged, reflecting the inherently collaborative nature of modern implant science.
