The first photo is a coil I recently pulled and inspected. Completely clogged up with buildup. The second photo is after a proper cleaning.

If your system hasn’t been cleaned in a while, there’s a good chance it looks similar to that first photo.

We had a customer in margaritaville that had a refrigerant leak in their line set underground. These houses were built with the line set running through the slab in a pvc chase. The problem with that is you can’t service anything when you have a problem. We got it fixed properly with a new line set running through the attic.
