On December 18, 2025, just two days before winter break, Doug was hit by a drunk driver while traveling to work at the intersection of Leonardsburg Road and State Route 42. The impact was so severe that we estimate the truck rolled about one and a half times. By God's grace, Doug walked away and, by sheer circumstance, our little girl was not in the backseat that morning. The truck, however, was a total loss.
The timing made it even harder. We had welding projects scheduled, and we were excited because our kindergartener was going to spend his first winter break adventuring with Dad. Instead, winter break was spent hurting, resting, healing, making insurance calls, and searching for a replacement truck.
If you knew anything about our previous truck, you know it took us nearly a year to find it. Because of the nature of our business, we needed some less common specifications that aren't typically found on daily drivers. To be honest, we weren't looking for something different. We wanted the same truck. After all, it had just proven how well it could protect the person we love most.
We eventually found a replacement, but as many of you know, a work truck is never just a work truck. We've spent the last several months making additions and modifications to fit our needs. This was time and expenses we hadn't anticipated, but necessary investments to meet our business needs.
Today, though, we got to celebrate.
The truck, and both boys, made their maiden voyage to visit a loyal customer.
You wouldn't know it from our social media page because we're terrible at sharing our successes, but we've been blessed with a steady flow of customers through the years. What continues to amaze us is that the majority of our inquiries come from referrals.
We truly couldn't have reached this milestone without the support of our community. Every job, referral, recommendation, and word of encouragement helped us get here. Your support didn't just help replace a truck...it helped keep our family afloat during one of the most challenging seasons we've faced.
