Quarry Residence

Located high above a limestone quarry, this home draws on the challenges of the site – rocky outcrops, sheer cliffs, and towering pines – weaving them into an arrival sequence of geology and nature that culminates in the residence, perched 1,000 feet above the canyon floor.
An engineered series of ponds, rivulets, and waterfalls starts in the landscape and winds its way to and through the house, leading guests from the entry towards the cantilevered living room with a panoramic view of the valley beyond.

Set within the expansive landscape of Teton County, the North Gros Ventre Residence is designed to embrace uninterrupted 360° mountain views. Following the site's natural slope, the home unfolds through subtle shifts in elevation, while cantilevered upper levels create sheltered spaces for the entry and carport below. At the heart of the home, a private courtyard offers a quiet retreat overlooking an aspen meadow.

The material palette of cedar siding, fiber cement panels, concrete, and zinc defines each volume, balancing warmth with durability and expressing the home's living and private spaces.

Perched on a sage-covered hillside above the valley in Jackson, Wyoming, this private residence was designed in accordance with the architectural character and materials palette of the Amangani Resort. Completed in 2024, this 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath home is positioned west-facing to capture expansive views of the Teton Mountain Range and sits just down the road from the resort, allowing the home to feel both private and connected to the broader Amangani community.

On the boards — Salida Residence
A custom home designed to nestle into the hillside above the Arkansas River with minimal visual impact and expansive mountain views.
Natural stone, wood elements, metal cladding, and gabion walls built from excavated site and river rock ground the home within the landscape, while large glazing and sheltered courtyard spaces create a seamless connection between indoors and out.
