BBIA Announces Groundbreaking for 2026 Scholarship Home
Bay Building Industries Association to Break Ground on 2026 Scholarship Home
Entry #1 in the 2026 BBIA Parade of Homes
Southport, FL — The Bay Building Industries Association (BBIA) is proud to announce the groundbreaking of its 2026 BBIA Scholarship Home, continuing a long-standing tradition of investing in the future of the local building industry through education and workforce development.
The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on:
📍 Friday, February 6
🕒 3:00 PM
📍 1820 White Western Lake Lane, Southport
The 2026 Scholarship Home will be built by Daniel Gibbens with G6 Development and designed by M. Corb Architectural Design. Located in the Pinebrook subdivision—home to many past BBIA Scholarship Homes—the residence will feature 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and 2,344 heated and cooled square feet.
Once complete, the home will proudly serve as Entry #1 in the 2026 BBIA Parade of Homes, taking place over two weekends: June 5–7 and June 12–14.
Through the continued generosity of BBIA members, vendors, and community partners, the BBIA Scholarship Home Program has awarded more than $187,000 in scholarships to over 200 students pursuing careers in construction, skilled trades, and related fields. Proceeds from the sale of the Scholarship Home are reinvested directly into scholarships and workforce development initiatives that support the next generation of industry professionals.
“This program represents the very best of our industry,” said Stacy Roberts, Executive Officer of BBIA. “It brings together builders, trades, and partners to create opportunity, strengthen our workforce, and give back to our community in a meaningful way.”
Media and community members are invited to attend the groundbreaking ceremony and celebrate the kickoff of this impactful project.
