KICS is a unique collection of exciting after-school classes designed especially for students enrolled in Springhurst Elementary School in Dobbs Ferry. KICS offers STEAM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) learning adventures that will spark creativity and build new skills. These classes are developed and managed by a partnership between the Dobbs Ferry PTSA and Curiositas (th

e not-for-profit arm of Curious-on-Hudson). Hands-on classes will be offered for grades 1-5 (Kindergarten classes during Spring session) in eight-week, one-hour sessions in Fall, Winter and Spring sessions. All classes will be held at Springhurst right after school ends— no transportation required. KICS does not replace the existing Springhurst Children’s Center program. Fall classes begin Sept. 28. Also, a limited number of scholarships are available for students that qualify. Check website for details on how to apply.
