The City of Peosta is promoting safe access to Kelly Oaks Park through an 8’ wide trail from Burds Road to the park, the project also includes an asphalt parking lot.

The VCC team is excited to be a part of this project!

Sometimes our community’s values take shape right before our eyes. 🌿

As this new trail takes shape in Peosta, it’s a great reminder of why we’re doing the work we’re doing with Peosta: Today, Tomorrow, Together.

Our community identified Parks & Recreation as one of the six things we value most about living in Peosta. The goal of building our endowment is to create a lasting source of support for projects and opportunities that reflect those values—today and for generations to come.

The City of Peosta is installing this new trail to connect Burds Road to Kelly Oaks Park and Pavilion, with a portion of the project funded through a REAP Iowa grant. Once our endowment is fully funded, it will give our community another way to support projects like this—projects that bring our shared values to life.

Piece by piece, project by project, we’re building a Peosta that reflects what our community values most.

Valentine Construction Company is a rapidly growing contractor based out of Dubuque, IA.
We are currently looking to add an experienced Concrete Finisher to our team!
Compensation
-Pay is based on experience and is very competitive
-Paid travel time one-way
-Contribution to Simple IRA
- Paid Overtime (after 40 hours is reached)
-Paid holidays
-Health Insurance
-Year-end profit sharing bonus
Our work
-Valentine Construction Company specializes in Municipal and Commercial concrete and site work in Eastern Iowa, such as ADA ramps, curb and gutter, street work, parking lots, walking trails, sidewalks other concrete related projects.
-We work within 90 miles of Dubuque, IA
-Company trucks are used for transportation
-Hours generally consist of 50-65 per week depending on workload
-Some Saturdays may be required
Requirements-
-Valid drivers license
-Experience in finishing concrete, form work, curb and gutter
-Accountability and ability to show up on time everyday
-Physically able to perform a variety of tasks directly related to the type of work
Preferred-
-Class A CDL

We are currently looking to fill the position for a Mechanic.
Compensation-
-Pay is based on experience and is very competitive
-Contribution to Simple IRA
- Paid Overtime (after 40 hours is reached)

Primary Roles-
- Maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of equipment from heavy equipment to small engines
-Performing feild repairs as needed
-Keeping an accurate maintence and service record
-Locating and ordering parts
-Keeping an organized and clean work environment.
Requirements-
-Valid Class A CDL (we can assist with this)
-Must have experience and knowledge working on heavy equipment, vehicles, and small engines
-Accountability and ability to show up on time everyday
-Must be reliable
-Must be able to communicate well with other team members
-Physically able to perform a variety of tasks directly related to the type of work
- Must be able to work 50-55 hrs per week, some saturdays required
