Valentine Construction Company is a rapidly growing, family-owned contractor based out of Dubuque, IA.
We are currently looking to fill the position for a Mechanic.
Compensation-
-Pay is based on experience and is very competitive
-Contribution to Simple IRA
- Paid Overtime (after 40 hours is reached)
-Paid holidays
-Health Insurance
-Year-end profit sharing bonus
Primary Roles-
- Maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of equipment from heavy equipment to small engines
-Performing feild repairs as needed
-Keeping an accurate maintence and service record
-Locating and ordering parts
-Keeping an organized and clean work environment.
Requirements-
-Valid Class A CDL (we can assist with this)
-Must have experience and knowledge working on heavy equipment, vehicles, and small engines
-Accountability and ability to show up on time everyday
-Must be reliable
-Must be able to communicate well with other team members
-Physically able to perform a variety of tasks directly related to the type of work
- Must be able to work 50-55 hrs per week, some saturdays required

We are currently looking to fill the following positions:
-Concrete Crew Foreman
-Concrete Finisher
-Concrete Laborer

Compensation

Our work
-Valentine Construction Company specializes in Municipal and Commercial concrete and site work in Eastern Iowa, such as ADA ramps, curb and gutter, street work, parking lots, walking trails, sidewalks other concrete related projects.
-We work within 90 miles of Dubuque, IA
-Company trucks are used for transportation
-Hours generally consist of 50-65 per week depending on workload
-Some Saturdays may be required
Requirements-
-Valid drivers license
-Willingness to learn and have ambition
-Accountability and ability to show up on time everyday
-Physically able to perform a variety of tasks directly related to the type of work
Preferred-
-Class A CDL
-Construction experience
-Concrete experience
