Did you know that JNR Electric and Construction was created as a subsidiary of JNR Enterprises LLC? JNR Enterprises was established in 2017 by Jason. The company’s focus in the early years was on home improvement. Services offered included: roofing, siding, window and door installation, deck building, kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, tiling, and more.

In 2025, Jason decided to expand JNR Enterprises and JNR Electric and Construction was born! JNR Electric and Construction is a locally based electrical contracting and construction company specializing in high quality remodeling and new construction projects in Duluth and the surrounding areas.

My name is Jay Hodny. I’ve been in the electrical industry for 30+ years. I’ve worked in commercial, residential, and service positions.

I like to pride myself on clean and neat work. I enjoy helping customers bring their ideas to life.

My wife and family are new to the area. We moved from Roseau, Minnesota. We have five boys, a daughter-in-law, and a grandchild.

My loves outside of work are hockey, hunting, fishing, and camping whenever possible!
