Fresh carpet and paint projects don’t mix unless the prep is done right. 👌

Using 2” Washi tape tucked into the carpet pile first, then locking in 3 mil protective plastic for full stair protection. Clean edges, solid hold, and way less chance of accidental paint transfer during production work.

Prep work may not be the flashy part of painting… but it’s what separates clean jobs from careless ones.

Most of you know me from the paint videos, tool reviews, jobsite content, and occasionally stirring up the comment section. 😆

But there’s a lot more to my story than what fits into a 60 second reel.

Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down on the Paint Your Path Podcast and talk about my journey in the painting industry, building brands, content creation, partnerships, lessons learned, and what it really takes to grow in this trade.

This clip is just a small piece of a much bigger conversation.

If you’ve ever wondered who The Arizona Painter is beyond the videos, check out the full podcast. The link is in this post.

After you watch it, let me know what part resonated with you most. 👇

At this point the cabinets aren’t getting painted… they’re getting pressure washed with paint. 😅

The right spray setup doesn’t stop at the gun and hose… your filter matters too. 👌

100 mesh, 60 mesh, and 30 mesh all serve different purposes depending on the coating you’re spraying. Most RX Pro guns come standard with a 100 mesh because they’re built for precision and fine finish performance.

Small setup details like this can make a huge difference in flow, consistency, and tip performance.

If you missed the previous video, go check out the full RX Pro setup breakdown with the Easy Swivel, whip hose, and anti spit valve. 🎯

Most people online only see the content side.

What they usually don’t see are the years in the field, the long commercial repaint projects, the problem solving, the relationships, and the day to day work that built everything behind The Arizona Painter brand.

Recently had the chance to talk with Bold Journey about that balance between contractor, creator, and industry advocate.

Fine finish spraying gets a whole lot easier when your setup works with you instead of against you. 👌

Titan RX Pro + Easy Swivel + 3’ whip + anti spit valve has become one of my favorite combinations for cabinets, doors, closets, and tight detailed work. Better movement, less wrist fatigue, smoother control, and cleaner finishes.

Also… I’ve got an extra Easy Swivel and I’m putting together a Father’s Day giveaway soon. Stay tuned 👀 because there’s going to be more goodies added to it.

I’ll be attending PCA Expo this year and leading a Brain Meld focused on field leadership, scheduling, and sequencing—from residential to commercial work. If you’re an owner, PM, or superintendent dealing with growth, multi-phase projects, or crew consistency, come join the conversation. Let’s talk about what actually happens on jobsites and how to make it work better.

If you’re headed to Expo, I’d love to connect—come sit at my table.

Just wrapped up a great live conversation with Satori Stahl Painting Company LLC. We covered what it really takes to move from residential into commercial work—insurance and documentation, estimating differences, jobsite systems, and how to keep standards high when production gets real.

Appreciate you having me on and everyone who tuned in and supports the trade. If you caught the live, drop a question below and I’ll answer what I can.
