We’re proud to look back on this beautiful Eastern Shore project, featured in Home & Design Magazine.
Originally built in the late 1890s, this historic Federal-style home sits along Hunting Creek and combines timeless character with modern comfort. After the homeowners purchased the property, our team at Cappa Builders had the opportunity to help bring their vision to life.
The renovation included replacing the original deteriorating porches with durable brick and composite materials, as well as opening up the kitchen, family room and dining areas to create a more functional flow throughout the home.
The completely renovated kitchen features a beamed shiplap ceiling, custom built-in banquette and nautical details inspired by the Chesapeake setting.
A project like this is what we love about working on the Eastern Shore — preserving the character of historic homes while building them for the way families live today.
