2025 will be rolling in with huge changes to the HVAC world with the Wisconsin Focus on Energy rebates and the 25C Federal Tax Law credit requirements. To break it down, if are looking for a standard AC system, forget it. Time to move from these on as the rebates on Heat Pumps make the standard on/off units more money than than you can get a Cadillac modulating Heap Pump system for. WI will offer 4 tiers of rebates on Heat Pumps starting at $400, $500, $600, and finally $700. If you qualify as low income you will receive an extra $200 per tier as listed above. These are based on the SEER2 rating and HSPF2 ratings and I can assist as most don't understand what these ratings mean. As far as 25C Federal Tax Law changes, they basically made it tougher to get the tax incentive, you have to have a minimum of 16 SEER2 rating and some other requirements vs 2024s 15.2 SEER2 rating. Basically you need to look for equipment that has 16 SEER2 or higher which will get you into WI Focus on Energy rebate Tier 3 and 4, $600 or $700 respectively, and up to $2000 for Federal Tax Credit. I have my Ruud, Century, Bosch, Samsung, and Fujitsu equipment dealers trained and ready for 2025. Contact me for any questions. Happy New Year!
