Quick re-deck!

After some complications from the building department, getting this project started and finished within 5 days was quite the accomplishment. The weather was perfect and the deck turned out great!

New Trex Hatteras Decking & Trex Transcend railings. This deck also features a dry storage area under neath the deck with a gutter system to direct water away from any personal items

One of the wonderful aspect to being a builder is returning to a past completed project, and seeing how its weathered and stood the test of time. Which is exactly what happened with this project.

This pergola and deck were built 11 years ago by my mentor, his son and myself. I was still in high school at the time and never expected to be back making improvements.

This customer wanted to cut down on the upkeep of the original pine decking and upgrade the free standing deck with Trex composite decking to match the deck attached to the house.

Looking for a pergola or deck just like this? Look no further, and shoot me a message!

What a difference a fresh coat of paint and some picture frame moulding makes!

This project focused on adding character toa front entry. New picture frame moulding, new chandelier, and transformation of a normal doorway into a trim-less arched doorway that leads from the hall into the kitchen/dining area.

Every nail hole filled, all joints glued, and all seams caulked. All work done by Twice as Nice Solutions.

Quick bathroom flip! Just finished this up earlier this week.

Upgraded the bathroom to a 20 amp circuit to meet the requirements of the new 3:1 fan/light/heater combo, which is now properly vented rather than blowing into the attic. New shower valve and tub spout to accommodate for height of the new tub. New tile floor and baseboard, a recessed medicine cabinet, vanity, plumbing trim and painting.

We always ensure your chosen products are installed properly and according to local codes. There will always be something unexpected with each project, and we will always do our best to accommodate

All work completed by Twice as Nice Solutions.

My latest deck project, and one of my favorites since completion!

Years of building decks and occasionally returning for service calls really helped on this project. Learning how to deal with the expansion/contraction of the materials through these crazy midwest seasons.

Small improvements make a huge difference when you have empty space you want to better utilize.

Shallow cabinets provide that storage while keeping the room open and comfortable when using the laundry machines. Some new wainscoting with MDF beadboard makes the room feel more finished and we moved the outlet from the floor up between the cabinets for convenience.

I was requested to expand this customers pantry and improve their storage capabilities. 36" entry extended to 72" added a light and some handmade shelves using project source melamine panels.

Continuing the learning process history lesson, this project taught me something very important, and that is to not underestimate any project. Every once in a while it feels like you just cant catch a break, sometimes its within your control, other times it's not.

But alas, here we are! On the other side of it all grateful for my customers patience and both of our perseverance through the project.

House build part 2!

I returned to help my mentor John on his house last year, helped install Hardi-plank & Hardi-board siding and finishing some interior framing details.

Hardi products are a engineered, highly durable, fire-resistant, and low-maintenance fiber cement siding. Hardi planks and board mimic wood grain while resisting rot, moisture, pests, and high winds, often lasting 30+ years.

Full bath remodel from last year. This customer's bathroom was out of date and needed some TLC.

I really love working with this size tile on the walls, layout is easy, you can find a rhythm, and easy to cut.
