The future of air combat isn't coming, it's here! The U.S. Air Force's YFQ-44A Fury autonomous drone recently completed a major milestone, successfully engaging a simulated target with an AIM-120 missile during a beyond-line-of-sight test in the Mojave Desert.

Designed to fly alongside pilots as a robotic wingman, Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) will help extend mission reach, increase combat power, and reduce risk in contested environments.

With plans to field 150+ CCAs by the end of the decade, the next era of air dominance is taking shape now.

Airbus' new U145 autonomous aircraft takes the trusted H145 platform and transforms it into an AI-enabled, uncrewed force multiplier built for missions like cargo resupply, surveillance, disaster response, and reconnaissance.

By combining autonomous flight technology with increased payload capacity, platforms like the U145 are helping shape a future where missions can go farther, move faster, and reduce risk to personnel.

This is the kind of innovation that's driving the next generation of defense capabilities. 🚀

For this week's , we're highlighting some seriously cool counter-drone tech from Lockheed Martin.

In a recent live-fire demo, Lockheed's GRIZZLY™ launcher successfully took down a one-way attack drone using a Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM). Even cooler? The entire system (from radar detection to engagement) was integrated and operational in less than 45 days.

This is the kind of innovation we love to see: fast, flexible, and built to adapt to emerging threats. As drones become a bigger part of the modern battlefield, solutions like GRIZZLY are helping give operators more options to protect critical assets, forward bases, and maritime platforms.

🚁🎯 Smart tech. Fast deployment. Real-world impact. That's the kind of forward-thinking innovation that gets us excited.

🚀 For this week’s , we’re spotlighting a game-changing advancement in military SATCOM modernization!

Leidos, DISA, and U.S. Space Command have unveiled the Joint Management Tool (JMT). A cloud-based platform that is transforming how satellite communications are managed across the globe. With real-time visibility into critical SATCOM resources, streamlined service requests, and dramatically improved operational awareness, JMT is helping operators make faster, smarter decisions when it matters most. Even more impressive, it can reduce command-level reporting and analysis time by up to 85%.

Technologies like JMT are paving the way for a more agile, informed, and mission-ready force. The future of defense communications is already here! 🌎🛰️

It’s !

The U.S. Army's new Data Operations Center is a major step towards modernizing and streamlining data management within our armed forces.

Acting as an information hub, the Data Operations Center will facilitate faster, stronger decision-making via the integration of machine learning.

The military's continuing AI initiatives will allow leaders to turn complex information environments into actionable insight and streamline historically cumbersome, fractured data processes.

Freedom is strongest when everyone has access to opportunity, respect, and the chance to thrive.

Juneteenth reminds us to pause and honor the generations who fought for that freedom. Progress is built through people, community, and shared responsibility. Today calls us to honor the truth of our history and continue creating spaces where every person feels seen.

It’s , and we’re back sharing the kind of tech that makes our inner innovators light up.

The Pentagon is getting ready to roll out a new wave of directed energy counterdrone systems (yes, real lasers) and high powered microwave tech (no, not the kind you heat leftovers in), across five U.S. military bases as part of a major pilot program. With low cost drones showing up around installations almost daily, the need for smarter, faster defenses is only growing.

But systems like these aren’t powered by cool tech alone. They rely on secure sensing, real time data processing, AI enabled detection, dependable applications, protected communications, and tight systems integration that can support split second decisions when it counts. As adversarial drone activity continues to rise, protecting critical infrastructure will require layered, intelligent, and highly secure solutions built for the complexity of today’s environments and tomorrow’s.

This is exactly the kind of innovation that gets us fired up at Statera.

Lasers, microwaves and other directed-energy weapons systems will be deployed to defend against illegal drone flights around five military bases.

We’re back with another , sharing the tech that’s shaping the future of mission ex*****on! Today’s spotlight is a big one.

The DOD’s proposed $29.5B AI Arsenal initiative represents a major shift toward SCIF‑accredited, AI‑ready data centers designed to deliver real impact across battle management, threat detection, logistics, and mission analysis. But the real advantage goes beyond raw compute. It comes from building secure architectures, dependable applications, trustworthy AI/ML pipelines, and cyber‑hardened environments that can actually stand up to the demands of classified missions.

As AI continues to scale across the defense landscape, the organizations that can bring together infrastructure, software, security, and mission ex*****on will be the ones turning capability into true operational advantage.

If you want to dig deeper into the full story, the article is worth a read.

“The White House’s AI Action Plan, released last year, outlines the importance of establishing robust AI infrastructure,” an official said.

Today we launch Tech-Forward Tuesday, our weekly look at the innovations shaping the future of mission‑driven technology.

We’re kicking things off with this article because it perfectly captures why staying tech‑forward matters:

The Marine Corps’ recent test pairing a UH-1Y Venom helicopter with a low-cost FPV drone shows how quickly unmanned systems, aviation platforms, and real-time data are converging.

For military agencies, the challenge is no longer just fielding advanced technology. It is integrating AI/ML, secure applications, mission data, cryptography, and edge-ready systems into environments where speed, resilience, and trust are non-negotiable.

As low-cost drones become more central to modern operations, the advantage will belong to teams that can connect cutting-edge technology with mission-ready ex*****on.

During the test, troops launched a Neros Archer FPV drone from the ground before transferring control to operators aboard a helicopter orbiting miles away.
