Around the Dugan Rock collection, this one has earned the nickname “The Pirate Ship.”

This striking specimen is Crocoite from the Adelaide Mine in the Dundas Zeehan District of Tasmania, Australia.

Crocoite is known for its vivid orange-red crystal formations that almost look like sparks frozen in place. Pieces like this are part of what makes geology so fascinating — the earth creates structures that feel almost unreal.

From taking apart a C46 engine to helping rebuild it from the ground up, Kyra has been getting real hands-on experience in the shop.

One photo shows the early teardown process. Another shows the completed C46 rebuild she helped build before paint.

As a college intern, she’s been stepping into detailed mechanical work, learning systems piece by piece, and gaining experience that can’t be taught from a textbook alone.

Earlier this month, Dugan wrapped up the Second Annual Wellness Challenge with a final Wellness Challenge Showdown.

After a full month of logging steps, pushups, squats, planks, burpees, water, fasting, reading, and wellness activities, employees came together to compete, cheer each other on, and celebrate the effort that went into the challenge.

The numbers were impressive:

515,144 steps
6,560 pushups
6,550 squats
320 burpees
28-minute plank leaders

But the best part was seeing the team show up for each other.

From the finalists who competed, to everyone who earned tickets, joined the raffles, grabbed breakfast, encouraged a coworker, or simply took one more step toward a healthier habit — this challenge was a win for the whole team.

A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this year’s Wellness Challenge such a success.

A new office is never just about walls, desks, or conference rooms.

It’s about creating a place where good people can work together, solve problems, and continue building strong relationships.

This week, we were grateful to welcome many of the vendors and industry partners who help keep operations moving every day.

In this industry, partnerships matter. So does taking the time to connect face-to-face.
