This applies all the time but some people are especially predatory after storms!! Beware friends!

The Alabama Home Builders Licensure Board cautions homeowners of the potential for scams, fraud and price gouging during post-storm damage cleanup, repair, and rebuilding. The Board warns Alabamians to be on the lookout for fraud as they hire contractors to repair storm damage and purchase needed items.

Friendly reminder to cover your exterior spigots and drip your interior faucets (including your shower faucets, especially on exterior walls) and leave your vanity and kitchen sink cabinet doors open for the next few nights!!

I’m catching up, so apologies for the post overload!

As many of you know, when we moved back, our vision for Pendley C&R was restoring abandoned, neglected, or simply in need of rehab homes to convert them into nice, affordable housing in Fayette. We have been blessed over the past 5 years to expand that vision to the client space being invited into many of your custom projects for full home, bathroom, kitchen and outdoor space (etc) renovations! We ♥️ working with clients , but do try to get back to the original mission when we can and had the opportunity to do of those 2 projects this year!! I’m sharing one below (next one in subsequent post).

Our crew worked hard and completed the majority of this renovation, but we’d like to thank and highly recommend the following vendors:

Both of these bathrooms turned out AMAZING! Heath and I have loved (and wanted to install) the tile they selected for their master shower since the first time we saw it so we were beyond excited when they shared their final selections!

Master bath remodel - tub shower conversion to large shower with horizontal 24” x 48” Bella Vita tile and hexagon floor. Custom niche with solid surface frame, expanded doorway, new subfloor and floor tile

Kids bath - tub conversion to large shower with stacked subway, hexagon floor and super fun patterned bathroom floor tile, shiplap walls and ceilings

Both baths have all new plumbing and light fixtures from Ferguson, all new countertops and solid surfaces from J&L Custom Countertops, and beautiful as always custom vanities by Seth Harkness, new doors/trim/framing/ other building supplies from our friends at Lawrence Farm & Lumber and paint and tile supplies from our friends at Rebasco Flooring and Paint

It’s not something you see in the pics, so I often forget to give them a shout out, BUT Plyco Recycling Inc. always takes care of our dumpster and demo removal needs! They’re the best!

Playing catch up on posting some of our projects lately. This one is an absolute STUNNER!

Shower area converted from garden tub - 4’ x 2’ horizontal wall tile, river rock shower floor, herringbone bathroom floor, custom bench and niche, wall mount shower head, ceiling mount rain shower and wall wand

Last round of pics from this latest project:

-previously enclosed front porch/sunroom area: removed sheet linoleum, replaced floor joists, subfloor and installed new flooring
-framed an interior “window” opening in hallway to allow for more natural light in the office
-master suite addition
-created hallway to close off bedroom for privacy (formerly had to walk through bedroom to access any bathroom)
-and too many more to list 🤣

Kitchen pics (including before) from our latest project. Full kitchen renovation:

-Gutted existing kitchen and replaced damaged / sagging floor joists and subfloor
-Added insulation before new Sheetrock installed
-Removed wall between dining / kitchen and extended kitchen into former bedroom to make larger kitchen and walk-in pantry
-Added windows, adjusted door and window position
-New floors, cabinets, counters, windows, trim, fixtures, paint, electrical, plumbing, etc

I really love her prep sink next to the stove and how this design all came together!! 🥰

Who would not LOVE over 1,500 sf of outdoor living space to enjoy this lovely piece of property?!?! ☕️🌅🍷

The roofline had to be raised and rebuilt to create the covered wrap around front porch. Included some before and in-process pics of the roof change and the damaged rim joist from inadequate flashing on previous porches.

We’re so happy with how this project has turned! The lucky lady who’ll be living in this apartment will be able to enjoy this beautiful property from all the windows as well as the nice back deck!! And that kitchen and backsplash 💙🩵💙🩵💙
