We were proud to be part of Healthy Kids Day with the Whatcom Family YMCA today, representing the Phillips 66 Ferndale Refinery and our ongoing commitment to swim safety.

Through our partnership with the YMCA, we had a great time sharing swim safety materials with families. The best part was helping with life jacket fittings—making sure kids stay safe and confident in the water this summer!

Events like this are a great reminder that safety starts with education, access and community collaboration. We’re grateful to partner with organizations like the YMCA to help make a positive impact where we live and work.

There’s something powerful about rolling up your sleeves alongside your coworkers and investing in the places we live and work. 💪🌿

Today the Phillips 66 Ferndale Refinery team came together for our Good Energy event to help clean and green downtown Ferndale in partnership with the Ferndale Downtown Association.

From planting fresh flowers and scrubbing benches along the riverwalk to adding mulch and paving steps at the post office, every effort was rooted in pride for the community our employees call home.

These moments go beyond a single day of service—they reflect who we are and the impact we strive to make, together.

Grateful for the team that showed up, put in the work and brought to our community. 🌱✨

The Ferndale Technical Department and the RLT treated employees and contractors to a full English breakfast, held in the PRC Fire Bay. Everyone was all smiles.

An English Breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, mushrooms, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, baked beans, and grilled tomatoes. The purpose of the event was simple: “Here’s to Bringing Ferndale together!”

UC Davis Raises the Flag!
Winner - 2025 UW Collegiate Flag Competition!

The University of California, Davis alumnus Jared Garb, Business Team Lead, Light Oils, won the "2025 United Way Campaign Collegiate Flag Competition", raising $1,055 for the honor of flying their college flag above the refinery for the next six months. The funds raised will support the United Way of Whatcom County and the important work they do throughout the community.

It was also a bittersweet day for the Cougs, who lowered their flag today to make way for the UC Davis flag. Last year the Cougs raised just shy of $3,000 for the UW of Whatcom County for their flag to be flown

Congratulations!

Ferndale Refinery Emergency Response Banquet

On January 16, the Ferndale Refinery proudly hosted its annual Emergency Response Team (ERT) Banquet, honoring the dedicated team members who help ensure safety and readiness in the unlikely event of emergencies, including fires, chemical spills, and other hazardous incidents.

The evening brought together ERT members and their families to celebrate service, strengthen connections, and show appreciation for their commitment. These moments of recognition help build the trust and camaraderie essential for effective response when it matters most.

A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of awards by FRN Fire Chief Bill Rinesmith. Each award was personally handcrafted by Chief Rinesmith, reflecting both his exceptional craftsmanship and sincere appreciation for the team’s above-and-beyond dedication.
